Arabsat participates in Africa Telecom 2008 fair and conference

The Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) participates in Africa Telecom 2008 to be held in Cairo, Egypt, 12-15 May 2008 and organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
Specialized firms in the field of information technology industry are also participating to exhibit the latest innovations in IT and telecommunications. "Arabsat's participation in this exhibition comes in coincidence with the close launch of its new satellite Badr-6 and also with its openness to the African market with more comprehensive coverage and high space capacities in telecommunications and high definition television (HDTV)" said Eng Khalid A. Balkheyour, CEO of Arabsat."
Engineer Khaled Balkhyour, added that Arabsat is getting ready for the launch of its new Badr-6 satellite within the next two months in line with its strategic plans that aim at launching new satellite each year until 2011.
Thus, Arabsat will maintain its position as a leader in the provision of satellite telecommunications in the region since it is the only qualified organization in the Middle East with a fully integrated fleet of satellites including all frequency bands to cope with all future expansions expected to take place in the Middle East.
