Company aims to expand MENA reach through extensive participation at the DCC and TAQNYA 2008 events.

PRO TECHnology, a leading provider of broadcast, communication, security and storage solutions, announced that it has achieved a record 28 per cent growth in revenues for the first quarter of 2008 compared to figures from the same period last year.

With plans to expand its presence in the MENA region amidst the booming IT demands from the enterprise and SMB sectors, the company is gearing up for an extensive participation at the ‘Digital Consumer Channel' (DCC) in Fujairah, UAE (May 19-21, 2008) and ‘International Telecom & Information Technology Exhibition' (TAQNYA 2008) in Libya (May 25-29, 2008).

PRO TECHnology's outstanding performance and growth in the region can be attributed to the wide range of its state-of-the-art offerings that have gained a strong footing with regional customers.

The company's year-on-year growth has seen a steady rise, owing to its major strides in addressing the sophisticated demands of regional consumers and in signing strategic partnerships with leading brands such as Apple, HP, Dicota, Qualstar, Nexsan, Storageflex, Freecom and Symantec.

The company's consistent participation in high profile exhibitions and events such as CABSAT and GITEX, in addition to large-scale implementations, such as its recent project with Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation (APICORP) has also bolstered its regional success.

"The tremendous success, which we have gathered in the region, has been the result of our dedication to address the needs of the regional market, and our strategies that has given us considerable edge, which sets us apart from our competitors," said Jamal Maraqa, Managing Director of PRO TECHnology.

"As a leader in our industry, we focus continuously on providing technology-backed solutions to enhance business effectiveness and productivity, and we are very keen to further strengthen our position in this rapidly evolving regional market. In line with the strategic growth plans for 2008, PRO TECHnology and Dicota Middle East, have confirmed their participation at the DCC event, which is slated to run from May 19 -21, 2008 at Al Aqah Beach Resort in Fujairah.

The event, which is expected to be attended by over 120 senior executives from the top consumer IT retailers in Middle East and North Africa, has been identified by the company as a solid platform wherein it can introduce DICOTA's new lifestyle and mobility products including Golla bags, iSkin iPod and Mac accessories, DICOTA mobile computing equipment and FREECOM storage devices and mobile drives.

As part of its expansion strategy in the region, PRO TECHnology will also be present at the 4th Annual International Telecom & Information Technology Exhibition (TAQNYA 2008), which is being held May 25 -29, 2008 in Tripoli.

Organised by the General Post and Telecommunication Company of Libya (GPTC), the event is regarded as the premier ICT event in the country. PRO TECHnology's second participation at the event will be highlighted by a showcase of new solutions and applications, which are designed to serve the requirements of TV stations, AV users and video editing houses, from Apple, QUALSTAR, Netronics, Mobotix, Motorola and Avaya.
