70 select luxury villas go on sale at Dubai's most prestigious residential golf development.

Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai's premier residential golf community, has today launched sales for its luxury Fire villas at Juniper Way. The week of sales runs from Thursday 29 May until Friday 6 June and will be hosted at The Royal Ballroom, The Palace at the One&Only Royal Mirage in Dubai.

The Fire villas at Juniper Way, being developed by Jumeirah Golf Estates, are a distinctive collection of 70 four-, five- and six-bedroom villas, each offering commanding views over Greg Norman's magnificent Fire course.  Designed using traditional Tuscan-style architecture and materials, all come complete with landscaped gardens, spacious courtyards, studies, basements, swimming pools and double garages.

Homeowners have a choice of eight architectural styles and three interior schemes, designed by independent UK designers Sedley Place.  Exclusive Poggenpohl kitchens with Miele appliances are installed as standard, as are ‘smart home' solutions and Bang & Olufsen audio-video equipment.

Plot sizes vary from 8,000 to 15,000 square feet with 70 select luxury properties available for purchase during the sales event. Alan Rogers, Group Chief Executive Officer, Leisurecorp, the owner of Jumeirah Golf Estates, said: "We are delighted to launch sales of Juniper Way today - the last of the Leisurecorp developed properties on the Fire course at Jumeirah Golf Estates. The Juniper Way properties will be truly stunning, incorporating some of the most advanced and stylish features on the market.

"Sedley Place- the appointed designers of Juniper Way's luxury interiors - has done an amazing job at using luxury brands to design not just lavish interiors , but spectacular family homes."

David Spencer, Chief Executive Officer - Golf for Leisurecorp, the owner of Jumeirah Golf Estates, added: "People - golfers and non-golfers alike - choose to live on residential golf developments because of the beautiful natural environment that surround them. At Jumeirah Golf Estates, we have already received strong interest from local and international buyers and I expect demand for these properties to be significant. Juniper Way residents are set to be the envy of both the golf community and aspiring homeowners globally.

"On top of living in spectacular homes overlooking Greg Norman's stunning Fire course, homeowners will be within putting distance of the European Tour Centre, and able to take advantage of its impressive facilities, right on their doorsteps."

The Fire course is one of four elementally inspired courses being developed at Jumeirah Golf Estates, and will be ready for play by the end of 2008. The first Jumeirah Golf Estates homeowners will move into their communities during the first part of 2009.

This launch follows last week's announcement that Leisurecorp is to acquire the historic Turnberry golf resort in Scotland, the host venue for the 2009 Open Championship, for £55 million (AED 385 million).

About Jumeirah Golf Estates

Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai's premier residential golf community, is being developed by Leisurecorp, a Dubai World company. Inspired by the natural elements of Fire, Earth, Wind and Water, Jumeirah Golf Estates draws on the remarkable talents of some of the game's most famous names: Greg Norman, the 'Great White Shark'; former world number one Vijay Singh; European Ryder Cup hero Sergio Garcia; and "the father of modern course design", the legendary Pete Dye.

The four courses - Fire, Earth, Water, and Wind - will pay tribute to the power of nature, each employing the distinctive characteristics of its own surroundings to deliver a unique challenge. The courses will be surrounded by individually designed residential communities which bring a new sense of luxury and space to Dubai.

And from 2009, Jumeirah Golf Estates will be home to the world's richest golf tournament, the Dubai World Championship and home to the European Tour's International Headquarters, with the world's best golfers coming to the world's most exciting city, to play in the world's richest tournament. Together, these competitions put Dubai at the heart of world golf - and the host venue, Jumeirah Golf Estates, at the heart of Dubai's growing golf sector.

About Leisurecorp

Leisurecorp was established by Dubai World in July 2006, to identify, acquire, develop and manage a portfolio of investments in the sports and leisure sectors in Dubai and across the world.

Its portfolio includes Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai's premier residential golf community; Pearl Valley Golf Estates, South Africa's leading residential golf community, which will host the South African Open for the next two years; a major shareholding in Island Global Yachting, the premier owner, developer and manager of luxury marinas; a stake in Troon Golf, the world's leading luxury-brand golf management, development and marketing company; a shareholding in GPS Industries, the provider of Wi-Fi enabled global positioning systems (GPS) for golf and residential communities; and a stake in Snowmass Colorado, a 2.8 million square foot re-development of  one of North America's premier ski resorts.

In November 2007 Leisurecorp announced a wide-ranging partnership with The European Tour which will create The Dubai World Championship, the world's richest golf tournament with a US$10,000,000 prize fund.

To be held annually at Jumeirah Golf Estates, the tournament will be open to the players numbered 1- 60 on The Race to Dubai - formerly The European Tour Order of Merit - with players being given the opportunity to compete for an additional US$10,000,000 bonus fund.

From 2009, Jumeirah Golf Estates will also become home to The European Tour's International Headquarters. In May 2008, Leisurecorp announced plans to purchase Turnberry, the host venue for the 2009 Open Championship, from Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, with the acquisition expected to be finalised in October 2008.
