HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) received an Azerbaijani Delegation at is office in Riyadh.

The delegation included Mr. Ravnag Abdullayev, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), special envoy from President H.E. Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijani, Mr. Gorkhmaz Huseynov, Vice President of SOCAR, Mr. Vagif Aliyev, GM of SOCAR's Foreign Investment Division and Mr. Rauf Mammadov, Assistant to SOCAR's President.

The meeting was also attended by Ms. Heba Fatani, Executive Manager, Corporate Communications Department, Mr. Ahmad Altobaishi, Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman and Ms. Nahla Alanbar, Private Assistant to HRH the Chairman from KHC.

The meeting began as the delegation thanked the Prince for giving them the opportunity to meet with him and extended cordial regards to HRH from the Azerbaijani President who thanked Prince Alwaleed for his recent visit to Azerbaijan that was positive for the economy there. During the meeting Mr. Ravnag expressed his government's invitation to HRH to invest in his country in light of HRH's successful international investments in the various sectors such as hotels. In response, Prince Alwaleed welcomed the idea to invest in Azerbaijan and said that the matter required further research and consideration.

Prince Alwaleed had visited the city of Baku, capital of Azerbaijan earlier this year. The visit was in response to an official invitation from the country's President. The trip began with a meeting between the President and Prince Alwaleed at the Presidential Palace. The President cordially greeted and welcomed Prince Alwaleed, and thanked him for accepting his invitation.

A meeting was held following the reception during which President Aliyev and the Prince discussed matters related to the economy of their respective countries. Also, a number of social and investment issues that pertain to both countries and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan were part of the subjects discussed.
