Company's new line up of products for the banking sector expected to generate substantial visitor interest.


Epson is geared up to demonstrate its line up of new products at the GITEX Technology Week 2008, which will be held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 19 to 23, 2008. Epson's product showcase at GITEX this year will include its latest range of large format printers, consumer inkjet printers, multi-function printers, laser and photo printers, scanners, projectors and retail technology solutions, in addition to a range of products specifically targeted at the region's banking and financial sectors. Epson will occupy stand B-420 in Hall 4.

This year, Epson will showcase its new range of high-performing large format inkjet printers which incorporates Epson's new UltraChrome GS, an 8-colour eco-solvent type ink set. The new ink set importantly does not spread harmful VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and is the first major eco-solvent type ink set to be launched without the need for a hazard symbol. Epson's new large format printers provide one of the most cost-effective, fast and flexible printing solutions for design professionals in the Point of Sale (POS), Computer Aided Design (CAD), Geographic Information System (GIS) and corporate markets.

Epson's scanner segment will feature its stylish Perfection series of slim and flatbed photo scanners that use Epson's Matrix CCD scanning technology, Digital ICE technology, new ReadyScan LED technology for fast scan speeds, High Pass Optics and Dual Lens systems and Easy Photo Fix software to offer complete imaging solutions to amateur and professional photographers in homes, offices, studios and classrooms.

The Photo Printers section will display Epson's new range of top-quality printers that feature Epson UltraChrome K3TM with Vivid Magenta pigment inkset, RadianceTM technology for smoother gradations, Automatic Nozzle Check technology and Epson PreciseColor.

The projectors segment at Epson's stand at GITEX Technology Week will host its latest line up of 3LCD projectors with USB connectivity and multi-screen technology. This segment offers ideal lightweight, portable and easily adjustable projection devices for businesses, corporate offices and professionals on the move.

This year too Epson will showcase its newest offerings in the monochrome and colour laser printing category. The AcuLaser series of colour laser printers which will be displayed, offer high quality printing, copying, colour scanning and full fax functionality in a small footprint for small offices and business work groups.

Visitors to Epson's GITEX stand will also be able to see the company's latest offerings for the banking sector. Ranging from Epson's most established products, to innovative solutions based on unique, breakthrough technology, the products that will be on display - including cheque & coupon scanners and all-in-one cash registers - are all designed to bring flexibility, efficiency and reliability to today's banking environment and financial applications.

In the business section Epson will demonstrate for the first time the new Business Ink Jet printers that are targeted to the business market.  Visitors will be amazed by the speed and the low running cost when printing documents, labels, envelopes and photos.

The new high capacity cartridges can print up to 8,000 pages laser sharp text on both paper sides with lower running cost compared to laser printers.  Also EPSON will launch for the first time its latest Business A4 sheetfed scanner that offers exceptional business performance. With a tough of a bottle uses can send scanned images to a designated folder, or add valuable information to their database automatically.
