MACH today announced that Jean Mandeville has been appointed to its Executive Management Team as Chief Financial Officer, with responsibility for all aspects of financial management across the portfolio.
Jean Mandeville, a Belgium native, brings a wealth of international experience spanning more than 15 years within the finance and telecommunications arenas. He joins MACH from his previous position as Executive Vice President and CFO at Global Crossing Limited, held since February 2005.
During this time Mr. Mandeville was instrumental in securing positive and sustained financial growth for the NASDAQ listed US based company.
Mr. Mandeville has a successful track record of managing high-profile investments, mergers and acquisitions. As CFO of Singapore Technologies Telemedia (ST Telemedia), he played a pivotal role in the company’s investment in Global Crossing and its business realignment initiatives. He successfully secured its first five-year syndicated loan of $480 million to finance the purchasing of its Equinix and TeleChoice international subsidiaries.
Jean Mandeville was also influential during his time at British Telecom (BT) Europe as Head of Business Planning. In addition to developing the entry strategy for European telecoms markets, he led the negotiations as Project Director for Business Development Germany, for BT's $5 billion participation in a joint venture with Viag InterKom.
Negotiating the acquisition of a controlling stake in Indosat, Indonesia's largest international telephone carrier and second largest mobile carrier, was one of Jean Mandeville’s many achievements.
Mr. Mandeville received a license in Applied Economics and a special degree in Sea Law from the University Saint-Ignatius Antwerp. He also attended the Stanford Senior Executive Program in 1996. He is an associate fellow of the Centre of Management Sciences of the University Saint-Ignatius Antwerp.
Jean Mandeville’s appointment reflects the sense of dynamism, innovation and growth that is synonymous with MACH.
“I am happy and proud to bring Jean Mandeville to MACH so he can contribute his vast international CFO experience from some of the largest and most renowned companies in the telecoms industry. Jean's rigorous approach to financial management coupled with his extended transaction experience will be central in supporting the ongoing development and expansion of MACH's growing businesses.” Martin Lippert, CEO of MACH.
