HE Tabaré Vázquez, President of Uruguay meets with HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) at the Conference Palace in Riyadh on Saturday December 20th 2008.

The meeting began as Prince Alwaleed welcomed the President of Uruguay and wished him a pleasant stay in Saudi Arabia as the President is on an official five-day visit to boost Saudi-Uruguay bilateral relations and trade.

Furthermore, President Vázquez and the Prince discussed the current international economic climate and general issues related to their respective countries. Also the meeting between the President and the Prince touched upon KHC’s local, regional and international investments.

Moreover, the President and His Highness discussed KHC’s investments in hotels and tourism sector, that includes the Four Seasons hotel in Carmelo, Uruguay.

In conclusion to the meeting, the President extended an invitation to Prince Alwaleed to visit Uruguay. Prince Alwaleed thanked the President for the invitation and promised to visit the country soon.

The President was accompanied by a delegation that included Mrs. Maria Auxiliandro Delgado de Vázquez, the First Lady of Uruguay, Dr. Gonzalo Fernandez, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Alvaro Garcia, Minister of Economy and Finance, Eng. Ernesto Agazzi, Minister of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries and Mr. Rodolfo Invernizzi, Ambassador of Uruguay to Saudi Arabia.
