Prince Alwaleed receives Turkmenistan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia to discuss investment & economic issues

HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company, received at his office in Riyadh, Turkmenistan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Abalakov Mukhamed who was accompanied by first secretary Mr. Silapberdi Nurberdiev.
The meeting was also attended by Ms. Nahla Al Anbar, Private Assistant to HRH the Chairman.
The meeting began as the ambassador thanked HRH for giving him the opportunity to meet with him. During the meeting the two discussed several issues of importance on an economic and social front.
His Excellency also expressed his government’s desire for HRH to invest in the country especially in the hotel sector. Moreover, the Ambassador explained President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov’s program to attract foreign investment in the various sectors in Turkmenistan.
The Turkmenistan ambassador also added that major companies have been attracted to invest in the Turkmenistan market following President’s decision to establish a tourist city on the Caspian Sea which will encompass hotels and public leisure facilities.
HRH had visited Turkmenistan in March of 2008 in response to an official invitation from President Berdimuhammedov. Upon his arrival, Prince Alwaleed and accompanying delegation headed to the Prime Minister's Office to meet the Prime Minister of Turkmenistan H.E. Mr. Rashid Moradov. A meeting was held during which Mr. Moradov and Prince Alwaleed discussed matters related to the economy of their respective countries.
