Prince Alwaleed receives Karim Wade son of Senegal President to discuss investment issues

HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company, received at his office, Mr. Karim Wade, son of President Abdoulaye Wade of the Senegal and President of the National Agency of the Organization of the Islamic Conference.
The meeting was also attended by Ms. Nahla Alanbar Personal Assistant to HRH the Chairman.
The meeting began as Mr. Wade thanked Prince Alwaleed for giving him the opportunity to meet with him. Mr. Wade relayed cordial regards from the President of the Senegal and renewed the President’s invitation to HRH to re-visit the country.
Moreover during the meeting, Mr. Wade presented HRH with a report on the privatization of hotels in the Senegal in light of the government’s initiative to attract foreign investment in the Senegal, and especially welcomed Prince Alwaleed to invest there. Furthermore, Mr. Wade said that the schools and hospital that HRH had donated to were currently operating.
In response, the Prince promised to consider investment opportunities in Senegal and asked Mr. Wade to provide additional information about potential projects for further study, and promised to visit Senegal in the near future. The Prince also asked Mr. Wade to relay his cordial regards to the President and the first lady.
Prince Alwaleed had visited Senegal in 2003, and met with President Wade. During the visit, the President awarded Prince Alwaleed with the highest national award, the rank of “Grand Officer of The National Order of The Lion”, in recognition of his highness' visit to Senegal. His Highness had donated a total of $1,300,000 to Senegal for the development of health and education projects there.
