Etisalat Chairman addresses ‘3rd Global Competitiveness forum’

H.E. Mr. Mohammed Hassan Omran, Chairman of Etisalat, today participated in the opening session of the ‘3rd Global Competitiveness forum’, which is being held under the theme - ‘Responsible competitiveness in a world of fast paced developments’.
In his speech, Omran stressed on the importance of responsible competitiveness in supporting national economies and encouraging investment in infrastructure and trade.
“Etisalat has been operating responsibly and competitively across the Middle East, Africa and Asia for over 30 years. Developing human resources and operating transparently and in ways which reduce our impact on the environment are key components of our business strategy. This strategy is helping to position Etisalat as a valued participant in the development of economies across the region and also helping us to achieve our ambition to be one of he largest international telecommunication companies in the world,” said Mohammad Hassan Omran, Chairman of Etisalat.
The forum which was inaugurated today will continue for two days and will discuss a number of important subjects including current global issues which are related to competitiveness, the global economic crisis and how to survive it, as well as other challenges that face world economy during this year.
Other participants at the summit include business leaders and political figures, including; Shinzo Abe, former Japanese Prime Minister, Mary Robinson, former Irish President, Dr. Mahathir Mohammed, former Malaysian Prime Minister, Jean Chrétien, former Canadian Prime Minister, and many international CEOs.
