As part of its social responsibility, Batelco - Bahrain's leading Telecommunications Company - continues its support for various cultural, educational, health, social and sports initiatives that serve all sections of the local community.
Within this framework, Batelco recently donated BD 70,000 in support for "Bahrain First" programme that the Ministry of Education organises annually to mark the Kingdom's National Day celebrations.
Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Undersecretary Ministry of Education for Resources and Services, recently received Batelco GM Corporate Affairs Nadia Hussain in his office in the Ministry's court, where Mrs. Hussain presented the donation cheque to him.
Shaikh Hesham praised Batelco's continued generous support for the Ministry as part of a partnership that aims to ensure the success of the Ministry's various projects, including "Bahrain First" programme.
"Batelco has always been a key partner to the Ministry of Education in implementing the King Hamad Future Schools project and has given all support necessary for the project's success", said Shaikh Hesham.
"The Ministry looks forward to more cooperation which will surely help in improving the educational services in our beloved Kingdom", he added.
Mrs. Hussain stressed Batelco's continued commitment to supporting the Ministry's initiatives that are designed in the interests of the local community.
"Batelco considers education vital to the Kingdom of Bahrain and is therefore committed to helping the Ministry of Education as the responsible body for this noble and important task," said Mrs. Hussain.
"Batelco, headed by its Chairman Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, looks to its support for the Ministry's programmes as a crucial investment in the new generations who will be the future leaders of the Kingdom", she concluded.
