Prince Alwaleed receives outgoing US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ford Fraker who bids farewell to the Prince

HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) received at his office His Excellency Ford Fraker the United States Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.


The meeting was also attended by Mr. Shadi Sanbar CFO and Ms. Nahla Al Anbar Personal Assistant to HRH the Chairman. The meeting began as the United States ambassador thanked Prince Alwaleed for giving him the opportunity to meet with him as he was approaching the end of his term as US ambassador to Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, HRH and Ambassador Fraker discussed Saudi-US social and economic relations.

Moreover, the ambassador thanked the Prince for his support and for receiving American delegations during their visits to Saudi Arabia that played a role in strengthening the relations between their respective countries, economically and socially during his term as Ambassador. In conclusion to the meeting, the Ambassador bid farewell to His Highness and in return, Prince Alwaleed wished him the best of luck on his endeavors.

HRH has significant investments in the US through KHC in various sectors and has made contributions to universities and programs through to bridge the cultural gap between East-West; HRH donated $20 million to Georgetown University as a gift to support and expand its Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding (CMCU).

Furthermore, HRH donated $20 million to Harvard University to create the University-wide Islamic Studies Program. Prince Alwaleed also contributed $2.6 million to the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee to purchase an office building for their head quarters in Washington DC.

Moreover, HRH made a $5 million donation for the establishment of the Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR) at the American University in Beirut and donated $10 million to finance both the construction of the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUSS) building in the campus of the American University in Cairo (AUC) and the Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR). The AUB and the AUC projects that HRH had contributed to are the first of their kind in the region.
