HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Alwaleed bin Talal Foundation (ABTF) donated $103,850 to The Susie Reizod Foundation’s project: New Shoes Donations to Children in Need in Catastrophe Areas of Africa and Asia.
The project provided new shoes to 15,000 children who were victims of catastrophe in Indonesia, Sudan, Somalia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. These countries were chosen because of devastation resulting from natural and man-made disasters. The children who reside in these areas are witness to family death, dislocation, disease, as well as dire poverty. Many of them are refugees.
The Susie Reizod Foundation served 3,000 children from each of the five geographic areas. Children in need were identified through contact with schools, orphanages, and families in the targeted areas.
