EVI Capital Partners a Johannesburg based investments holding company and private equity firm with offices in Dubai and London has launched a US$400m Buyout Fund and a US$400m Mezzanine Fund for investments in sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa and the Middle East.
We see that the market is gaining momentum compared to a year ago and we strongly believe that given the current opportunities at our disposal these two funds will do extremely well, says Zola Fihlani the Managing Partner at EVI Capital Partners.
The interest from the investor community particularly from the Middle Eastern and Asian investors is very positive and encouraging. We are excited and pleased about that, he added. The two funds will target opportunities mainly in mining, energy, infrastructure, real estate, telecommunications and other sectors.
