du announces fixed line voice services nationwide

Strengthening the value proposition and offering for fixed line customers, du, the new telecom operator in the UAE, today announced the availability of Call Select for the consumer and all business segments right across the UAE.
Call Select is a smart and economical way of using existing (non-du) landlines to make national and international calls. The calls dialled with a prefix will get routed through the ‘du' network offering immediate savings without changing the existing landline number.
du has made an attractive offer with a host of benefits such as off-peak rates on international calls at any time of the day, Pay by the Second - only pay for the time you talk - and free auto-dialler all at a nominal monthly subscription fee of AED 10.
Customers subscribing to the offer between 8 September and 7 December will enjoy a monthly fee waiver of AED 10 for three months and free credit each month of AED 20 for three months. In addition, customers will get 1 fils of free credit for every second of international calls till 7 December, 2007. So for every 60 seconds of international call you will get 60 fils of free credit. Customers can now save up to 60% on international calls from all non-du landlines.
All business customers signing up for Call Select service can also enjoy huge savings on international and national calls using their existing non-du landline(s).
Sharing details on the new offerings, Osman Sultan, CEO, du, said: "du is proud to be part of yet another milestone in the history of telecommunication in the UAE by having Call Select available all over the UAE, enabling customers to enjoy reduced rates on international calls from their non du landlines any time of the day".
There is no activation charge for Call Select and it's easy to install. Consumers can simply attach the auto-dialler provided with the Call Select subscription and it's ready. The application procedure is simple and straight-forward. All consumer customers have to do is walk into a du shop or authorized premium dealer outlet with an original documents and a copy of their tenancy contract or proof of ownership and a copy of passport with residency visa page (or National ID for UAE nationals) to collect a Call Select Welcome Pack consisting of a complimentary Auto-dialler and user guide. Business customers will need a copy of their trade licence.
An auto-dialler is a device which routes most kinds of calls from your non-du landline through the du network, offering immediate savings without the need to change the existing landline number.
