Tabreed and Aldar joint venture

District cooling company Tabreed and real estate firm Aldar Properties have entered into a joint venture to build 25 district cooling plants in Abu Dhabi.

The project, known as A&T Cool, will cost US $3billion (AED11 billion) and will provide cooling for all Aldar's property developments in the Emirate, including Al Raha Gardens, Central Market, and Yas Island. The plants will be capable of producing around 1.5 million TR cooling capacity over the next five years.
"Given the warm climatic conditions of the GCC, all these developments call for massive amounts of cooling. District cooling is an energy efficient and environmentally friendly solution and the technology of the future," explained Ron Barrott, ceo, Aldar Properties.
