House prices are moving up strongly in Egypt. However the past two years have not seen strong price movements in mainstream Cairo as most price appreciation has taken place in the new developments, such as Katameya Heights (see Price History), and in the massive new developments on the Red Sea and now on the Mediterranean, which are opening up the country to large-scale foreign purchases at a very low cost.

Alexandria is Egypt's second largest city with 3.5 million people, its largest seaport and the country's window onto the Mediterranean Sea.

Cairo

Cairo, which Egyptians proudly call the 'Mother of All Cities', spreads along the banks of the River Nile for 40km north to south, the largest metropolis in Africa.
