Emirates Islamic plans sukuk sale

Dubai-based Emirates Islamic Bank, a subsidiary of Emirates Bank International, said on Tuesday it could raise as much as $1 billion by selling Islamic bonds.

The first sale in the $1 billion debt program would be an Islamic bond worth $350 million, the bank said in a statement to the UAE regulator.
It did not say when it would sell the bonds or give further details.
