ASGC picks up contract for Windsor Manor

Property developer, Deyaar, has awarded a US $164 (AED600 million) contract to ASGC to build Windsor Manor in Dubai's Business Bay.

Construction on the project is due to start soon and is expected to be completed sometime in the second quarter of 2009. Atkins is the consultant.
Windsor Manor will comprise fully integrated smart homes set beside a lake. It will offer apartments on 24 floors as well as a rooftop garden with a pool, a fully equipped health club, a pool deck, and restaurants and cafés at the podium level. The tower is designed to be energy efficient.

Zack Shahin, chief executive officer, Deyaar, said: "The design elements take into consideration the needs, aspirations and lifestyle of the end-user. Its location on a plot with extensive lake views, coupled with its proximity to the nerve centre of business in Dubai, makes it an ideal choice for the discerning buyer, as also a valuable addition to the portfolio of real estate investors."

Deyaar is in the process of finalising its foray into new markets including Saudi Arabia, India and Kazakhstan.

Deyaar has, so far, launched 17 projects in Dubai, several of which are on Business Bay. The company has significantly scaled up its land bank by acquiring new plots in the UAE and in attractive overseas markets.

As a `one-stop real estate solutions' provider, Deyaar also offers property management, brokerage services and project marketing.
