Omniyat unveils $465m 'Opus'

by Lynne Roberts

Omniyat Properties has unveiled a $465 million development to be built in Dubai’s Business Bay.

The Opus, designed by Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, was presented at the British Museum in London this week, and is scheduled for completion in 2010.
The commercial tower will ‘fuse visionary aesthetics, architecture and art to create a unique world-first structure’ and become a distinct landmark in Dubai’s emerging skyline. Omniyat said.

Set to house freehold offices, the building will consist of three separate towers with a fluid-form void in the centre. Facilities include a ‘tranquility zone,’ shaded roof terrace, media zone and gym.
