8.45am Struggling to find a slot in the multi-storey car park.
9.15am Pick up Gitex Times as I walk into the show.
9.30am Review agenda of the day with client.
10.00am Arrive at press office. Greet regular media friends at Gitex.
10.30am Check e-mail. Answer urgent ones.
10.45am Read through Gitex supplements. Discuss coverage with the reporters.
11.00am Phone another Gitex client. Update on press briefing arrangements.
11.15am A few reminder calls for the briefing.
11.45am Head for conference room for final touches.
11.59pm Delay the start a bit for latecomers to get in.
12.30pm Briefing over. Open question and answer session.
12.40pm Watch client's TV interview from behind the camera.
12.45pm Speaker at next conference pushes for evacuation.
1.00pm Lunch with a long-time Gitex comrade.
1.50pm Walk back to the first client for a pre-scheduled interview.
2.05pm Rest my legs and work my fingers taking notes.
2.40pm On the 'track' again to the press office for an urgent media query.
3.15pm Media briefing a third client ahead of series of back-to-back interviews.
5.00pm Tour of exhibiting media stands for reunion and catch-up on their plans.
6.00pm Head for the office for a quick check on the progress of a couple of other projects.
8.00pm Pass by home, refresh and off to dinner with fly-in journalists.
11.45pm Back at home after quite a tiring day. Tomorrow is another day.
