Inside the enigma
Nestled within the reserved confines of Abu Dhabi's Al Raha Beach Hotel, Enigma sets new standards for Abu Dhabi's emerging nightclub scene.
Following the trend set by some of the Middle East's most popular nightclub venues, Enigma combines a relatively plush and indisputably cavernous interior with a sound and lighting installation that ranks as one of the best in the city.
While still trailing the likes of Dubai's growing super-club fraternity, Enigma marks an important step in the development of Abu Dhabi's nightclub scene, which just a decade ago was virtually non-existent.
Key features of the club include a dedicated DJ booth which is equipped with dual Pioneer CDJ players connected to a Pioneer DJM mixer.
JBL Eon 175w speakers are employed for monitoring applications, while playout is supplied to B52 subs and full-range speakers which are located either side of the booth and facing the dancefloor.
An extensive trussing system is located above the club's central dancefloor, which supports an assortment of Robe moving heads and Martin effects. Lighting control is provided by a Vetex mixer.
A centrally located Christie digital projector is also available for special events, while a CCD camera relays live footage of the dancefloor to LCD TV displays located on the club's ground floor level.
The club also features a VIP room equipped with LCD diplays, lounges and a dedicated bar service.
