World's most luxurious residences floats into town

US venture BV International Ocean Holdings on Monday said it will be promoting its luxury cruise ship Four Seasons Ocean Residences at Cityscape 2007 in an effort to attract wealthy Gulf Arab investors.

Following launches in London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore, a scale model of the 13-deck, 719-foot, 48,600-tonne vessel will be on display at the Dubai real estate expo.
The vessel will be accompanied by a computer-generated flythrough, showing how the residences and vessel will look once completed.

Four Seasons Ocean Residences is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion and delivery in 2010.

Touted at the world's most luxurious floating residences, BV International, a joint venture between Echo Partners and Ocean Development Group, is selling apartments on the vessel for between 15.7 million dirhams ($4.3 million) and 157 million dirhams ($42.7 million).

The vessel, capable of housing 112 residents, will include one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments, which could be single storey, duplex, triplex or penthouses.

It will also include facilities such as a Four Seasons Spa, fitness centre, putting greens and golf simulator, restaurants, retail outlets, casino, market, business centre, wine cellar, and helipad.

The vessel will feature a retractable marina as well, providing ship-to-shore service, scuba expeditions and a launch for jet skis or sailboats.

Four Seasons Ocean Residences’ first journey is scheduled for 2010 and the vessel will circumnavigate the globe, allowing residents to visit cities on every continent, take in the most beautiful locations nature has to offer and witness sporting events like the 2012 Olympics in London and the Grand Prix in Monaco.
