Ground breaks at G Tower

Groundbreaking has begun on the signature G Tower at the City of Arabia project.

The 45 storey tower, designed by Alex Vacha and P&T Architects, is scheduled for completion in 2010. The project will include a private patio with a Jacuzzi, and air-conditioned balconies that can be used during the summer. The finished construction will contain nearly 60,000m2 of usable gross floor area.
The 280m high tower will also feature three ‘sky decks'. The largest deck will include a themed swimming pool with rock formations, cave features, waterfalls and a tropical garden. The tower is the flagship project of the Galadari Investment Office (GIO).

Speaking at the groundbreaking, GIO chairman Rashid A.W. Galadari argued that the use of world class designers was essential "to create future-proof investment opportunities through unique projects." Interior design has been carried out by Philippe Starck, whilst construction is being handled by Belhasa Engineering. Project management falls to De Leeuw Middle East.
