2. Aedas

As a global firm famed for its creativity in mixed-use developments, transportation, education and healthcare building design, Aedas is one of the biggest names in the industry. With a presence all over the world - from Liverpool's West Tower to the R&F Centre in Guangzhou; Kazakhstan's Abaya Seifullina to the USA's National September 11th Museum - Aedas has also emerged as one of the leading architects in the Middle East and has undertaken the design of over 1,900,000m2 of building development.
Responsible for various high-rise residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, including the 618-metre-tall Pentominium Building at Dubai Marina and the 310-metre and 420-metre Ocean Heights developments, Aedas' expertise saw the firm being approached to design Dubai's 47-station metro system. Artists impressions suggest Aedas did quite a job.
