Kuwait bourse warns 25 firms over late Q3 results

by Eman Goma

Kuwait's bourse warned on Thursday it would suspend the trading of 25 companies if they fail to publish their third-quarter results by Monday.

"Trading in the shares of these companies will be halted, if the financial data ... are not submitted by 8:30 a.m. on Monday," the bourse said in a statement on its website.
Commercial Bank of Kuwait, Burgan Bank and Aref Investment Group are among the firms whose stocks are facing a possible suspension.

Trading in shares of Islamic firm Investment Dar remains suspended since April, after the firm failed to publish its 2008 earnings.

Kuwait is the only Gulf Arab state without an independent authority supervising its bourse, the Arab world's second largest. (Reuters)
