A joint venture of Arabian Technical Construction (Arabtec), Arabian Construction Company (ACC) and Belhasa-Six Construct (Besix) is tipped to pick up the US $816 million (AED3 billion) main construction contract for the Mall of Arabia, which is part of the City of Arabia project in Dubailand.

A project insider confirmed that the joint venture is set to pick up the package.
“They are in the last stages of contract negotiations at the moment, and we are expecting the contract to be awarded within the next month,” he said.

A joint venture of Al Habtoor Engineering Enterprises and contractor Murray & Roberts has also bid for the project.
