Dubai's Department of Civil Aviation has handed out two contracts to the Arabtec/Max Bogl joint venture to carry out structural work on the passenger terminal and air traffic control tower at the Jebel Ali International Airport in Dubai World Central.

The contracts are worth US $65.9 million (AED242 million).
The joint venture also won a $75.7 million contract in September 2006 to carry out the cargo terminal building works at Dubai World Central.

"The participation of Arabtec in the construction of Jebel Ali International Airport marks Arabtec's track record and commitment toward its clients to deliver projects on time, and to the highest quality," said Riad Kamal, the managing director, Arabtec Holding PJSC.
