Voltas wins third Bahrain contract

Voltas has been awarded a US$106 million (BD40 million) electro-mechanical contract for work on Bahrain City Centre.

The contract forms part of the $530 million (BD200 million) electricity infrastructure development project at the BCC project on the Manama coast.
This is the third major job undertaken by the Indian-based MEP contractor in Bahrain and is among the largest electro-mechanical projects ever awarded in the Gulf state.

Over 1,500 workers will be involved in the work. The project is scheduled for completion in 2008.

Voltas is currently involved in a number of high-profile projects within the Middle East including Dubai projects Raffles Hotel Wafi City and Burj Dubai.
