Emicool awards Motor City work

Drake & Scull and Thermo have won contracts for the construction of two plantrooms at the Dubai Motor City project.

In contracts worth US $90 million (AED 333 million), the MEP contractors will provide two plantrooms, each of 46,000TR capacity. The contracts were awarded by district cooling provider Emirates District Cooling Company (Emicool), which is supplying services to the project.
Emicool has also awarded a contract worth over $20 million to CAT Company for the piping network associated with the district cooling installation.

The pipework and phase one of the first plantroom is scheduled for completion by the end of 2007.
