Tangiers
Tangiers is a city of change. From Atlantic to Mediterranean. From Africa to Europe. From old to new. It acts as a bridge between different worlds and, with the right property, can bring the best of both.
One of the northernmost towns in Africa it is home to a rich culture and is famed for a lively, often hectic street-life. Not as popular as its southern cousin, Marrakech, it has maintained a reputation of unpredictability and caution among tourists. Heavy investment in the marina area, however, could see a property boom.
Until then it is charming investors and tourists who make the short sail south from Spain. A growing café culture and the presence of souks make it an excellent alternative to Marrakech or the Costa Del Sol.
