STAKE DENIAL: Al Arabiya said Qtel denied planning to buy Zain's 25 percent stake in Zain Saudi.(Getty Images)

Qatar Telecom (Qtel) denied it had plans to buy a stake in Zain Saudi Arabia, Al Arabiya television reported on Sunday.

The television said Qtel denied planning to buy Zain's 25 percent stake in Zain Saudi.

Bahrain-based Sico bank said earlier in a note that Qtel may try to buy Zain Saudi. (Reuters)
