US pop star Rihanna will perform at Abu Dhabi’s du Arena on Yas Island on October 19 as part of her ‘Diamonds’ world tour.
The singer, who recently released her seventh album ‘Unapologetic’, has sold 41m records and has more than 63m Facebook fans.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale from midday on May 9, with prices starting from AED250. The gig has been organised by tour promoters FLASH Entertainment in association with Live Nation Global Touring.
Rihanna last performed in the UAE on New Year’s Eve 2009, when she played to 10,000 fans outside Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace hotel.
The singer is the latest big name musician to appear in the UAE, following recent performances by the likes of Madonna, Metallica, 50 Cent, J-Lo, Katy Perry and the Happy Mondays.
