Road building plan in Jeddah

Contracts for a series of road projects are expected to be awarded by Jeddah Municipality by the end of the year.

The contracts will be for the construction of 10 flyovers and underpasses in a bid to tackle traffic problems in the Red Sea port city, according to Arab News.

Contracts for the construction of five tunnels and 13 bridges are also in the pipeline and will be put to tender within the next two months.

Most of the projects are expected to be ready within a year after construction begins.
