Tasnee bags company of the year award

Tasnee was named Company of the Year at the 2008 Arabian Business Saudi Achievement Awards Sunday night as more than 250 business leaders from across the kingdom descended on the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh.
Also known as National Industrialization Company, Tasnee took the top company award among a total of 18 categories.
Abdulrahman Al Zamil, chairman of Zamil Group Holding Company, was named ‘Man of the Year' at the event, which celebrated achievement among the biggest corporate names in Saudi Arabia.
Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud was given the 'Special Award for Philanthropy'.
“The winners in all the categories reflect the best in class of Saudi Arabian industry which is no mean achievement in the largest regional economy,” said Anil Bhoyrul, editorial director of ITP Executive.
Others winners included Mohamad Al Mojil Group, which took 'Best IPO Media Campaign'.
That campaign led to the construction group raising some 6.6 billion riyals ($1.8 billion) through a share sale last month.
Sama Airlines picked up 'Best in Aviation Industry' award - after managing to carry more than one million passengers in just over a year of operation.
Middle East Specialized Cables Company took the 'Excellence in Industrial Sector' award, while Saudi Oger won 'Best Construction Company in the Kingdom'.
