Saudi Arabian eatery Cafe Bateel will open five new outlets across Dubai and Abu Dhabi during the next six months, the chain has said.
The high-end concept, which was founded in Riyadh, will open cafeterias on Dubai’s Marina Promenade, Town Centre and Park Place on Sheikh Zayed Road in Apri, June and July, respectively.
In August, Cafe Bateel will open an outlet at the Galleria Mall at Abu Dhabi’s Sowwah Square, with a second in the emirate’s Nation Towers.
"The expansion plan in 2013, doubling our cafe network in UAE, reflects the strong response to our gourmet café concept from both Emiratis and the expat population in the UAE," said Dr Ata Atmar, managing director, Bateel International.
"We had made major investments in product development and production capacity with the confidence that there was a significant untapped market for our concept, offering high quality and innovative food in a premium café with elegant but relaxing ambience,” he added.
Bateel currently has a presence in 16 countries across both boutiques and eateries. Its dining concept was inaugurated in Dubai in 2007.
