One of Dubai’s most successful start-ups has launched version 2.0 of its talent sourcing and online learning platform.
Careers website Gradberry.com, launched by Iba Masood and Syed Ahmed in 2012, has expanded to include two new parts to its already comprehensive service. As well as connecting students, graduates and professionals with jobs and internships, Gradberry also now offers online courses and a new, intuitive sourcing system the employers.
The courses cover areas including digital marketing and graphic design, with plans to expand into further field over time such as web design and development, while the new sourcing system, SmartGrad, claims to make it easier for employers to find talent that is appropriate for their company.
Ahmed, co-founder and CTO at Gradberry, said” Out latest solutions to address the high youth unemployment rates in the region ensure that today’s generation is empowered with the skills they need to succeed.
“With Gradberry 2.0 we have made it easier for employers to find and source talent, and for users to build their skills and reach their career goals through our short, interactive courses.”
The courses have been created by industry professionals and entrepreneurs in collaboration with university professors. In a beta test earlier this year, 24 students aged between eighteen and 55 completed 69 courses, with a zero percent drop-out rate.
