Stunt pilot crashes into Al Ain football match

At least eight people have been injured after a stunt pilot lost control of his powered paraglider and crashed into a crowded football pitch in Al Ain, it has been reported.

The accident occurred before the start of the derby match between Al Wahda and Al Ain on Wednesday. Paramedics and police told local media that none of the injuries were serious. The match was attended by around 10,000 people.

The paraglider was one of two performing prior to the match, which Al Ain went on to win 1-0.

Football fans posted videos of ambulances arriving and medics on the pitch on YouTube.
