UAE petrol prices set to decline in July

Petrol prices in the UAE will decline for the third time this year, according to the latest list of prices released by the Ministry of Energy.

On average, petrol prices will drop by over five percent from next month compared to June.

The price for Super 98 will come down by 5.10 percent to AED1.86 from AED1.96; Special 95 will fall by 5.40 percent to AED1.75 from AED1.85, while E Plus 91 will decline by 5.61 percent to AED1.68 from AED1.78.

Diesel price will also become cheaper by 6.59 percent, falling from AED1.97 to AED1.84 per litre.

The new prices will come into effect from Saturday (July 1).

According to the ministry, petrol price rose in January, February, March and May, but declined in April and June.

Subsidies on petrol and diesel were removed in July 2015.
