Irish-themed US-based restaurant chain Beef ‘O’ Brady’s is planning to open up to 60 outlets in the Middle East over the next five years, with the first set to open in Saudi Arabia at the end of May, it was announced this week.
“The Middle East is an area with stable economies and a desire for American brands,” the company’s chief development officer James Walker said in a statement.
The first Beef ‘O’ Brady’s outlet will open in the Saudi city of Dammam by the end of May as soon as the company finalises visas for some of the staff set to manage the restaurant.
Two more outlets are also planned for Kuwait City and Amman, Jordan by the end of the year.
Based in Tampa, Florida, the chain, which is referred to as a sports bra “with an Irish twist”, was founded in 1985 and is locally referred to as "Beef’s". The franchise currently has 214 outlets across the Middle East.
