Former president enters Iranian elections

The Iranian presidential elections have been shaken-up by the entry of former president Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani. A relative moderate, Rafsanjani had previously said he would only run if the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khomeini, consented. The elections will be held in June, and will feature more than 450 candidates
