A British marine has been found guilty of murdering an injured Taliban fighter in Afghanistan by shooting him in the chest, a British court martial board found. The marines said they believed the man to already be dead, but video and audio footage of the incident led the board to a different conclusion.

The Pakistani government says it is reviewing ‘every aspect’ of its relationship with the US following the killing of the Taliban’s leader in a drone strike. The death of Hakimullah Mehsud also represents the death of the nascent peace talks which the government were hoping would improve conditions in the country.
