New-look mall brings in international chains including H&M, New Look, Borders and Coffee Republic.
Sharjah City Centre is to undergo an $11 million renovation and expansion, bringing in international chains including New Look, H&M and Borders, MAF Shopping Malls said on Sunday.
The redevelopment will take the mall’s total area to almost 38,000 square metres, with more than 114 shops, the company said in a statement.
Set for completion in December, the new-look centre will be home to an additional 22 new retailers including Vincci, Women’s Secret, Missha, Areej, Shades, and for the first time in the northern emirates, Coffee Republic and Parfois.
"In order to maintain [our] position, we are constantly assessing trends and evolving our centres to meet and exceed the ever changing markets in which they operate," Ali Al-Abdallah, vice president of asset management at MAF, said in a statement.
"The Sharjah City Centre redevelopment is one such step to ensure we continue providing a world-class shopping experience.”
Developed and managed by MAF, the centre currently attracts foot traffic of nine million visitors each year.
