Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and Lucasfilm has released the post for the highly anticpated 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' movie and announced tickets for the movie, which will be released on December 18, will go on sale today.
American movie theatre chain Regal Cinemas announced on Sunday tickets will go on sale on Monday, while the official Star Wars Twitter account also revealed that a new trailer will be shown on Monday night during 'Monday Night Football' on the ESPN channel.
The seventh installment of the popular movie franchise will feature returning 'Star Wars' stars Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher as Han Solo and Princess Leia, respectively, and some of the scenes were filmed in the Abu Dhabi desert last year.
“We are delighted that Abu Dhabi has attracted another major international production and are thrilled to have welcomed the Star Wars team. Having Star Wars: Episode VII film in the Emirate shows Abu Dhabi is emerging as the region’s leading media and entertainment hub,” said Noura Al Kaabi, CEO at twofour54, Abu Dhabi's movie production arm, said at the time.
