In Kuwait,
Manar Al-Hashash is one of her country’s most notable information technology entrepreneurs.
She founded software development company Dot Design, and is still its general manager.
In conjunction, she founded and publishes Kuwaiti info tech magazine Dot. In 2006,
the United Nations chose her as the only Arab woman to be given membership in its
World Summit on the Information Society. She serves on GAID’s advisory board and
is a part of the Bahraini Arab eContent Award committee, recognising the biggest
achievements in electronic information. In 2008, she was chosen by Microsoft to
judge its Imagine Cup, the world’s number one student technology competition.
