Company: Drake & Scull
Designation: Vice Chairman
Despite a 38% drop in first-quarter 2015 net profits, Khaldoun Tabari, CEO and vice chairman of Drake & Scull International (DSI), remains confident about the company’s future growth.
He mentions that the strength of the subcontractor’s historical performance globally will sustain its future growth, and it will be more selective in its bidding activities, focusing on key projects that have the potential to help the firm to achieve higher margins.
In the first quarter of the year, DSI’s engineering arm scooped the $54m (AED198m) Jewel of the Creek development in Dubai, and its general contracting business won the $49.1m (AED180m) Reef Residences project.
