Company: Al-Rashid Trading & Contracting
As chairman of Al-Rashid Trading & Contracting Company (RTCC), Abdullah Saad Al-Rashid is the face of one of Saudi Arabia’s best-known contractors. The company has carried out major projects across the Kingdom, including the $1bn (SAR3.8bn) Northern Border Security project for the Ministry of Interior.
More recently, RTCC has been supporting the delivery of a $606m (SAR2.27bn) housing project connected to a foundation established by the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, which will comprise 10,000 homes on the outskirts of Jarzan.
RTCC handled the project’s first phase, which included the construction of 2,249 villas, 11 mosques, medical centres and supporting buildings. In January of this year, Saudi Arabia’s mining company, Ma’aden, signed a $150m (SAR563m) deal with RTCC to commence work at Waad Al-Shamal City in the north of the country.
