Designation: Mena President
Gary Adams was appointed Parsons’ president of Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in 2014. With 35 years of industry experience – 23 of which have been spent at Parsons – Adams is responsible for the company’s operations throughout the region.
During his time at the company, Adams has held positions with increasing levels of responsibility. Prior to his appointment as MENA president, he served as executive vice president of global operations for Parsons Transportation Group.
Adams holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a master’s degree in transportation engineering from the University of California, Berkley.
A US native with a multi-disciplinary background, combining engineering, traffic engineering, highway design, and transportation planning work, Adams now leads a team of 6,000 people across the Middle East.
Adams has stated that his primary strategy is to introduce new market lines. He is looking to take Parsons into the oil and gas sector, with greater penetration in KSA where the company has existing projects such as the Riyadh Metro.
