Antoine Najjar is CEO of Al Ahmadiah, a major Kuwaiti contractor, founded by his father, Nagib Najjar, in 1954. The company’s current projects include the $124.4m design and build of the National Guard Headquarters in Safat, and its associated facilities. In addition, Al Ahmadiah is building the Bayt Abdullah Children’s Hospice in Sulaibikhat, upgrading the Mina-Abdullah pumping plant in a $149.2m joint venture with ABB, and carrying out infrastructure and utility works on phases one and two of Jaber Al-Ahmed City. Recently, it picked up a $377.7m, three-year contract from Al Rai Real Estate Company to build the fourth phase of The Avenues mall development. Outside of Kuwait, Al Ahmadiah has partnered with Herbert Systems and IO Systems to install 116 automated tray return systems at Dubai International Airport.
