Premium airport passenger services provider grows its global network with Melbourne Airport facility
UAE air services provider firm dnata has launched its first marhaba lounge in Australia, at Melbourne Airport.
The new facility is an addition to services provided by dnata at Australia's second busiest airport, according to company president Gary Champman.
"We already operate Australia’s leading in-flight catering company, Alpha Flight Services, and are delighted to add the marhaba brand of airport hospitality to serve Melbourne and those passing through Melbourne Airport," Chapman said.
In addition to its new facility in Australia, marhaba opened a new lounge at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport in July. marhaba offers a meet and assist service and operates lounges in Dubai (DXB and DWC) and Bahrain.
The Melbourne lounge features seating for 200 guests, a quiet zone for relaxation, shower facilities and an international buffet cuisine which offers Hudson coffee from a dedicated barista bar.
Marhaba’s services are aimed at discerning travellers wanting a good pre and post-flight experience. Established in 1991, marhaba aids passengers to seamlessly arrive and depart with speedy clearance to facilitating transfers, baggage and family travel. Its meet and greet services are available at major airports worldwide, including Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport.
“Australia is a very important market to us and we continue to look for opportunities to bring more of our services to customers here,” Chapman said.
International passenger traffic at Melbourne Airport is expected to reach 64 million by 2033. Passengers wishing to use the marhaba lounge can make online bookings at www.marhabaservices.com or simply walk in and pay for access on the spot.
